Program Summary and Objectives
To provide enhanced remote security and surveillance capability at airports where people or objects are screened and perimeter security is improved. The ASP partners with airport authorities to enable Transportation Security Officers access to real time and recorded camera views of critical activities. ASP provides the additional equipment necessary to achieve the TSA-mandated security recordation requirements of Checkpoint, Checked Baggage and Airport Perimeter, in turn enhancing the Airport Authority’s current/existing system. The ASP Program increases the local Airport Authority’s capability to remotely monitor, detect and assess all types of threats, including explosive threats and their resolution.
